I beheld till thrones were [a]placed, and one that was ancient of days did sit: his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, and the wheels thereof burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld at that time because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake; I beheld even till the beast was slain, and its body destroyed, and it was given [b]to be burned with fire. 12 And as for the rest of the beasts, their dominion was taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

13 I saw in the night-visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

  1. Daniel 7:9 Or, cast down
  2. Daniel 7:11 Aramaic to the burning of fire.

I continued watching[a] until thrones were placed and an Ancient of Days sat; his clothing was like white snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool and his throne was a flame[b] of fire and its wheels[c] were burning fire. 10 A stream of fire issued forth and flowed from his presence;[d] thousands upon thousands served him and ten thousand upon ten thousand stood before him. The judge sat, and the books were opened.

11 I continued watching[e] then[f] because of the noise of the boastful words of the horn who was speaking; I continued watching[g] until the beast was slain and its body was destroyed, and it was given over to burning with fire. 12 And as for the remainder of the beasts, their dominion was taken away,[h] but a prolongation of their life[i] was given to them for a season and a time.

13 I continued watching[j] in the visions of the night, and look, with the clouds of heaven one like a son of man[k] was coming, and he came to the Ancient of Days, and was presented[l] before him. 14 And to him was given dominion and glory and kingship that[m] all the peoples, the nations, and languages would serve him; his dominion is a dominion without end[n] that will not cease, and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.
