Daniel 6:7-9
American Standard Version
7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the deputies and the satraps, the counsellors and the governors, have consulted together [a]to establish a royal statute, and to make a strong interdict, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. 8 Now, O king, establish the interdict, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which [b]altereth not. 9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the interdict.

7 All the (A)commissioners of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors, have (B)consulted together that the king should establish a statute and enforce an injunction that anyone who offers a prayer to any god or person besides you, O king, for thirty days, shall (C)be thrown into the lions’ [a]den. 8 Now, O king, (D)establish the injunction and sign the document so that it will not be changed, according to the (E)law of the Medes and Persians, which [b]may not be revoked.” 9 Thereupon, King Darius (F)signed the document, that is, the injunction.
