4 Y, mientras bebían, alababan a sus dioses de oro y de plata, de bronce y de hierro, de leño y de piedra.
5 En aquel momento apareció una mano humana que, con sus dedos, se puso a escribir, a la luz del candelabro, en la cal de la pared del palacio real. Cuando el rey vio la mano que escribía, 6 palideció y quedó aturdido, incapaz de sostenerse, con las rodillas temblando.

4 As they drank the wine, they praised the gods(A) of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.(B)
5 Suddenly the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall, near the lampstand in the royal palace. The king watched the hand as it wrote. 6 His face turned pale(C) and he was so frightened(D) that his legs became weak(E) and his knees were knocking.(F)

5 In the same hour came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.
6 Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.
