29 Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck,(C) and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.(D)
30 That very night Belshazzar,(E) king(F) of the Babylonians,[b] was slain,(G)

29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.
