²⁷ Daniel answered the king, “Sages, enchanters, dream interpreters, and diviners can’t explain to the king the mystery he seeks.

⁷ So the dream interpreters, enchanters, Chaldeans, and diviners came. I told them the dream, but they couldn’t interpret it for me.

⁸ Then all the king’s sages arrived, but they couldn’t read the writing or interpret it for the king.
