⁶ For exaltation comes neither from the east
Nor from the west nor from the south.
⁷ But ^(A)God is the Judge:
^(B)He puts down one,
And exalts another.

¹⁴ But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord;
I say, “You are my God.”
¹⁵ My times are in Your ^(A)hand;
Deliver me from the hand of my enemies,
And from those who persecute me.

^7 (A)He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the ^(B)needy out of the ash heap,
⁸ That He may ^(C)seat him with princes—
With the princes of His people.

¹⁷ ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers,
And the sentence by the word of the holy ones,
In order ^(A)that the living may know
^(B)That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men,
^(C)Gives it to whomever He will,
And sets over it the ^(D)lowest of men.’
