20 Daniel said,
“May the name of God be (A)blessed forever and ever,
For (B)wisdom and power belong to Him.
21 It is He who (C)changes the times and the periods;
He (D)removes kings and appoints kings;
He gives (E)wisdom to wise men,
And knowledge to [a]people of understanding.
22 It is He who (F)reveals the profound and hidden things;
(G)He knows what is in the darkness,
And the (H)light dwells with Him.
23 To You, (I)God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise,
For You have given me (J)wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we (K)requested of You,
For You have made known to us the king’s matter.”

He removes kings and establishes kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
And [greater] knowledge to those who have understanding!(A)

“It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him.(B)

“I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers,
For You have given me wisdom and power;
Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You,
For You have made known to us [the solution to] the king’s matter.”

20 Falou Daniel e disse: Seja bendito o nome de Deus para todo o sempre, porque dele é a sabedoria e a força; 21 ele muda os tempos e as horas; ele remove os reis e estabelece os reis; ele dá sabedoria aos sábios e ciência aos inteligentes. 22 Ele revela o profundo e o escondido e conhece o que está em trevas; e com ele mora a luz.
23 Ó Deus de meus pais, eu te louvo e celebro porque me deste sabedoria e força; e, agora, me fizeste saber o que te pedimos, porque nos fizeste saber este assunto do rei.

a sabedoria e o poder a ele pertencem.
21 Ele muda as épocas e as estações;
destrona reis e os estabelece.
Dá sabedoria aos sábios
e conhecimento aos que
sabem discernir.
22 Revela coisas profundas e ocultas;
conhece o que jaz nas trevas,
e a luz habita com ele.
23 Eu te agradeço e te louvo,
ó Deus dos meus antepassados;
tu me deste sabedoria e poder,
e me revelaste o que te pedimos,
revelaste-nos o sonho do rei”.
