Daniel 11:26-28

²⁶Yes, those who eat of the portion of his delicacies shall destroy him; his army shall ^[a]be swept away, and many shall fall down slain. ²⁷Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they shall speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the ^(A)appointed time. ²⁸While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.

They shall speak lies at the same table, but to no avail, for ^(B)the end is yet to be at the time appointed. ²⁸And he shall return to his land with great wealth, but his heart shall be set against the holy covenant. And he shall work his will and return to his own land.

²⁶Those who eat from the king’s provisions will try to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall in battle. ²⁷The two kings, with their hearts bent on evil,^(A) will sit at the same table and lie^(B) to each other, but to no avail, because an end will still come at the appointed time.^(C) ²⁸The king of the North will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant. He will take action against it and then return to his own country.
