18 »Después volverá su rostro hacia las costas y tomará muchas de ellas, pero un gobernante pondrá freno a su afrenta y volverá su afrenta sobre él. 19 Luego volverá su rostro hacia las fortalezas de su tierra; pero tropezará y caerá, y no será hallado más.

Pero su plan no tendrá éxito. 18 Entonces atacará las ciudades que están a la orilla del mar, y a muchas de ellas las conquistará. Pero un jefe del ejército terminará con esto, y pondrá en vergüenza al rey del norte. 19 Así el rey del norte volverá a sus castillos, pero un accidente le causará la muerte, y nadie más volverá a hablar de él.

17 He will determine to come with the might of his entire kingdom and will make an alliance with the king of the South. And he will give him a daughter in marriage in order to overthrow the kingdom, but his plans[a] will not succeed(A) or help him. 18 Then he will turn his attention to the coastlands(B) and will take many of them, but a commander will put an end to his insolence and will turn his insolence back on him.(C) 19 After this, he will turn back toward the fortresses of his own country but will stumble and fall,(D) to be seen no more.(E)

Pero un príncipe pondrá fin a su afrenta; además, hará recaer sobre él su afrenta(C). 19 Después volverá su rostro hacia las fortalezas de su tierra, pero tropezará(D) y caerá, y no se le hallará más(E).
