Daniel 1:3-4

³ Then the king told Ashpenaz, the chief of his ^[a]officials, to bring in some of the sons of Israel, including some of the ^[b]royal ^(A)family and of the nobles, ⁴ youths in whom there was ^(B)no impairment, who were good-looking, suitable for ^(C)instruction in every kind of expertise, endowed with understanding and discerning knowledge, and who had ability to ^[c]serve in the king’s ^[d]court; and he ordered Ashpenaz to teach them the ^[e]literature and ^(D)language of the ^(E)Chaldeans.
