²⁰ As for every matter of ^(A)expertise ^[a]and understanding about which the king consulted them, he found them ^(B)ten times ^(C)better than all the ^(D)soothsayer priests and conjurers who were in all his realm.

²⁰ Daniel said,

²⁸ However, there is a ^(A)God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the ^[a](B)latter days. This was your dream and the ^(C)visions ^[b]in your mind while on your bed.

¹¹ There is a ^(A)man in your kingdom in whom is ^[a]a ^(B)spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father, illumination, insight, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him. And King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father ^[b](C)the king—appointed him chief of the soothsayer priests, sorcerers, Chaldeans, and diviners.

¹² This was because an ^(A)extraordinary spirit, knowledge and insight, interpretation of dreams, explanation of riddles, and solving of difficult problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named ^(B)Belteshazzar. Let Daniel now be summoned and he will declare the interpretation.”
