Daniel 9:8-10
New English Translation
8 O Lord, we have been humiliated[a]—our kings, our leaders, and our ancestors—because we have sinned against you. 9 Yet the Lord our God is compassionate and forgiving,[b] even though we have rebelled against him. 10 We have not obeyed[c] the Lord our God by living according to[d] his laws[e] that he set before us through his servants the prophets.
