23 And in the latter period of their [a]dominion,
When the wrongdoers have [b]run their course,
A king will arise,
[c]Insolent and skilled in [d]intrigue.
24 And his power will be mighty, but not by his own power,
And he will [e](A)destroy to an extraordinary degree
And be successful and do as he pleases;
He will [f]destroy mighty men and [g]the holy people.
25 And through his shrewdness
He will make deceit a success by his [h]influence;
And he will make himself great in his [i]own mind,
And he will [j]destroy many while they are [k]at ease.
He will even [l](B)oppose the Prince of princes,
But he will be broken (C)without [m]human agency.
26 And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which has been told is (D)true;
But as for you, (E)keep the vision secret,
Because it pertains to many (F)days in the future.”
