Darius Honors God
25 Then King Darius wrote to those of every people, nation, and language who live in all the earth: “May your prosperity abound.(A) 26 I issue a decree(B) that in all my royal dominion, people must tremble in fear before the God of Daniel:(C)
For He is the living God,
and He endures forever;
His kingdom will never be destroyed,(D)
and His dominion has no end.
27 He rescues and delivers;
He performs signs and wonders
in the heavens and on the earth,(E)
for He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions.”
28 So Daniel prospered(F) during the reign of Darius and[a] the reign of Cyrus the Persian.(G)

New International Version
25 Then King Darius wrote to all the nations and peoples of every language(A) in all the earth:
“May you prosper greatly!(B)
26 “I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence(C) the God of Daniel.(D)
“For he is the living God(E)
and he endures forever;(F)
his kingdom will not be destroyed,
his dominion will never end.(G)
27 He rescues and he saves;(H)
he performs signs and wonders(I)
in the heavens and on the earth.
He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions.”(J)
28 So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus[a](K) the Persian.(L)
