Daniel 4:29-31

²⁹About a year later,^[a] as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, ³⁰he^[b] commented to himself,^[c] “Isn’t Babylon great? I’ve built a royal palace in it by my own might and power, for the sake^[d] of my majesty.”

³¹As these words were being spoken by the king, a voice came out of heaven: “King Nebuchadnezzar, this is declared to you:

‘The kingdom has been taken^[e] from you!

²⁹Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, ³⁰he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory^(A) of my majesty?”^(B)

³¹Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you.^(C)

²⁹At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.

³⁰The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

³¹While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
