for if you do not make the dream known to me, your verdict is fixed,[a] and you have conspired to say a lying and deceitful word to me until the circumstances[b] will change. Therefore, tell me the dream, and I will know that you can tell me its explanation.” 10 The astrologers[c] answered the king and said, “There is not a man on earth that is able to reveal the word of the king; in fact,[d] no great and powerful king has ever asked a thing like this of any magician[e] or conjurer[f] or astrologer.[g] 11 And the thing that the king is asking is too difficult and there is no one who[h] can reveal it to the king except the gods whose dwelling is not with mortals.”[i]

If you do not tell me the dream, there is only one penalty(A) for you. You have conspired to tell me misleading and wicked things, hoping the situation will change. So then, tell me the dream, and I will know that you can interpret it for me.”(B)

10 The astrologers(C) answered the king, “There is no one on earth who can do what the king asks! No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer.(D) 11 What the king asks is too difficult. No one can reveal it to the king except the gods,(E) and they do not live among humans.”
