26 The king asked Daniel (also called Belteshazzar),(A) “Are you able to tell me what I saw in my dream and interpret it?”

Daniel Interprets the Dream
19 Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified(E) him. So the king said, “Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.”(F)
Belteshazzar answered, “My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!
Daniel 2:3-7

3 he said to them, “I have had a dream that troubles(A) me and I want to know what it means.[a]”
4 Then the astrologers answered the king,[b](B) “May the king live forever!(C) Tell your servants the dream, and we will interpret it.”
5 The king replied to the astrologers, “This is what I have firmly decided:(D) If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces(E) and your houses turned into piles of rubble.(F) 6 But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor.(G) So tell me the dream and interpret it for me.”
7 Once more they replied, “Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will interpret it.”
