5 ¶ Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the brink of the [a]river, and the other on that side of the brink of the river.
6 And one said unto the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, When shall be the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his [b]right hand, and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth forever, that it shall tarry for a [c]time two times and an half: and when he shall have accomplished [d]to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

New International Version
5 Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.(A) 6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen,(B) who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”(C)
7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand(D) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,(E) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.[a](F) When the power of the holy people(G) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.(H)”
