32 He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action. 33 (A)And the wise among the people shall make many understand, though for some days they shall stumble by sword and flame, by captivity and plunder. 34 When they stumble, they shall receive a little help. And many shall join themselves to them with flattery, 35 and some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, (B)purified, and (C)made white, until (D)the time of the end, (E)for it still awaits the appointed time.

33 “Those who are wise will instruct(B) many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered.(C) 34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere(D) will join them. 35 Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined,(E) purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.
