^5 (A)I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, ^(B)a man clothed in linen, ^(C)with a belt of fine ^(D)gold from Uphaz around his waist. ⁶ His body was like ^(E)beryl, his face ^(F)like the appearance of lightning, ^(G)his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and ^(H)legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and ^(I)the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.

¹¹ And he said to me, “O Daniel, ^(A)man greatly loved, ^(B)understand the words that I speak to you, and ^(C)stand upright, for ^(D)now I have been sent to you.” And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. ¹² Then he said to me, ^(E)“Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you ^(F)set your heart to understand and ^(G)humbled yourself before your God, ^(H)your words have been heard, ^(I)and I have come because of your words.
