¹⁷ As for these four young men, ^(A)God gave them ^(B)knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had ^(C)understanding in all visions and dreams.

¹⁸ Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. ¹⁹ Then the king ^[a]interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore ^(D)they served before the king. ^20 (E)And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. ^21 (F)Thus Daniel continued until the first year of King Cyrus.

^15 (A)“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, ^(B)lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

^16 (C)And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, ^[a]Armageddon.

Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken

¹⁷ Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, ^(D)“It is done!” ¹⁸ And ^(E)there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; ^(F)and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake ^(G)as had not occurred since men were on the earth. ¹⁹ Now ^(H)the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And ^(I)great Babylon ^(J)was remembered before God, ^(K)to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. ²⁰ Then ^(L)every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. ²¹ And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
