16 (A)So the steward took away their food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them (B)vegetables.
17 As for these four youths, (C)God gave them learning and (D)skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had (E)understanding in all visions and dreams. 18 At the end of (F)the time, when the king had commanded that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

16 So the guard took away their choice food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.(A)
17 To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding(B) of all kinds of literature and learning.(C) And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.(D)
18 At the end of the time(E) set by the king to bring them into his service, the chief official presented them to Nebuchadnezzar.
