¹⁷ So he came near where I stood. And when he came, ^(A)I was frightened ^(B)and fell on my face. But he said to me, “Understand, ^(C)O son of man, that the vision is for ^(D)the time of the end.”

¹⁹ He said, “Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of ^(A)the indignation, for it refers to ^(B)the appointed time of the end.

⁴ But you, Daniel, ^(A)shut up the words and ^(B)seal the book, until ^(C)the time of the end. ^(D)Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

^17 (A)When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But ^(B)he laid his right hand on me, ^(C)saying, “Fear not, ^(D)I am the first and the last,

^13 (A)But go your way till the end. ^(B)And you shall rest and shall stand in your allotted place at ^(C)the end of the days.”

^40 (A)“At the time of the end, the king of the south shall attack^[a] him, but the king of the north shall rush upon him ^(B)like a whirlwind, with chariots and horsemen, and with many ships. And he shall come into countries and ^(C)shall overflow and pass through.

³⁵ and some of the wise shall stumble, so that they may be refined, ^(A)purified, and ^(B)made white, until ^(C)the time of the end, ^(D)for it still awaits the appointed time.

³⁶ “And the king shall ^(E)do as he wills. ^(F)He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, ^(G)and shall speak astonishing things against ^(H)the God of gods. ^(I)He shall prosper ^(J)till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.

²⁷ And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week,^[a] and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. ^(A)And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until ^(B)the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”
