²⁸ “This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled^(A) by my thoughts,^(B) and my face turned pale,^(C) but I kept the matter to myself.”

⁵¹ Then he went down to Nazareth with them^(A) and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.^(B)

¹⁹ But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.^(A)

⁸ So I was left alone,^(A) gazing at this great vision; I had no strength left,^(B) my face turned deathly pale^(C) and I was helpless.^(D)

²⁷ I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted^(A) for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business.^(B) I was appalled^(C) by the vision; it was beyond understanding.

The Interpretation of the Dream

¹⁵ “I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.^(A)

⁴⁴ “Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.”^(A)

¹⁵ As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

¹³ “As for you, go your way till the end.^(A) You will rest,^(B) and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.^(C)”
