²⁶ “‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed^(A) forever.

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them,^(A) was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur,^(B) where the beast^(C) and the false prophet^(D) had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.^(E)

The Judgment of the Dead

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne^(F) and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence,^(G) and there was no place for them.

¹³ At that very hour there was a severe earthquake^(A) and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory^(B) to the God of heaven.^(C)

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed,^(A) whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth^(B) and destroy by the splendor of his coming.^(C)

²² until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.^(A)

¹¹ “Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking.^(D) I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.^(E)
