²² until the Ancient of Days came, ^(A)and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.

¹⁸ But ^(A)the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’

The Saints Reign with Christ 1,000 Years

⁴ And I saw ^(A)thrones, and they sat on them, and ^(B)judgment was committed to them. Then I saw ^(C)the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, ^(D)who had not worshiped the beast ^(E)or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they ^(F)lived and ^(G)reigned with Christ for ^[a]a thousand years.

^9 (A)They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. ¹⁰ The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone ^(B)where^[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they ^(C)will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

The Great White Throne Judgment

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face ^(D)the earth and the heaven fled away. ^(E)And there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, ^(F)small and great, standing before ^[b]God, ^(G)and books were opened. And another ^(H)book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged ^(I)according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. ¹³ The sea gave up the dead who were in it, ^(J)and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. ^(K)And they were judged, each one according to his works. ¹⁴ Then ^(L)Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. ^(M)This is the second ^[c]death. ¹⁵ And anyone not found written in the Book of Life ^(N)was cast into the lake of fire.

Christ on a White Horse

^11 (A)Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, ^(B)a white horse. And He who sat on him was called ^(C)Faithful and True, and ^(D)in righteousness He judges and makes war. ^12 (E)His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. ^(F)He ^[a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. ^13 (G)He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called ^(H)The Word of God. ^14 (I)And the armies in heaven, ^(J)clothed in ^[b]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. ¹⁵ Now ^(K)out of His mouth goes a ^[c]sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And ^(L)He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. ^(M)He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And ^(N)He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

^(O)KING OF KINGS AND
LORD OF LORDS.

The Beast and His Armies Defeated

¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, ^(P)“Come and gather together for the ^[d]supper of the great God, ^18 (Q)that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, ^[e]free and slave, both small and great.”

^19 (R)And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. ^20 (S)Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and ^(T)those who worshiped his image. ^(U)These two were cast alive into the lake of fire ^(V)burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest ^(W)were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. ^(X)And all the birds ^(Y)were filled with their flesh.

⁸ And another angel followed, saying, ^(A)“Babylon^[a] is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because ^(B)she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

⁹ Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ^(C)“If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his ^(D)mark on his forehead or on his hand, ¹⁰ he himself ^(E)shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is ^(F)poured out full strength into ^(G)the cup of His indignation. ^(H)He shall be tormented with ^(I)fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ And ^(J)the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

^12 (K)Here is the ^[b]patience of the saints; ^(L)here^[c] are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

¹³ Then I heard a voice from heaven saying ^[d]to me, “Write: ^(M)‘Blessed are the dead ^(N)who die in the Lord from now on.’ ”

“Yes,” says the Spirit, ^(O)“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow ^(P)them.”

Reaping the Earth’s Harvest

¹⁴ Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel ^(Q)came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ^(R)“Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come ^[e]for You to reap, for the harvest ^(S)of the earth is ripe.” ¹⁶ So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.

Reaping the Grapes of Wrath

¹⁷ Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

¹⁸ And another angel came out from the altar, ^(T)who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, ^(U)“Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.” ¹⁹ So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into ^(V)the great winepress of the wrath of God. ²⁰ And ^(W)the winepress was trampled ^(X)outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, ^(Y)up to the horses’ bridles, for one thousand six hundred ^[f]furlongs.

The Witnesses Resurrected

^11 (A)Now after the three-and-a-half days ^(B)the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. ¹² And ^[a]they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” ^(C)And they ascended to heaven ^(D)in a cloud, ^(E)and their enemies saw them. ¹³ In the same hour ^(F)there was a great earthquake, ^(G)and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid ^(H)and gave glory to the God of heaven.

^14 (I)The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed

¹⁵ Then ^(J)the seventh angel sounded: ^(K)And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ^(L)“The ^[b]kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, ^(M)and He shall reign forever and ever!” ¹⁶ And ^(N)the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and ^(O)worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying:

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, ^(A)whom the Lord will consume ^(B)with the breath of His mouth and destroy ^(C)with the brightness of His coming.
