¹² For the nation or kingdom that will not serve^(A) you will perish;
    it will be utterly ruined.^(B)

¹³ “The glory of Lebanon^(C) will come to you,
    the juniper, the fir and the cypress together,^(D)
to adorn my sanctuary;^(E)
    and I will glorify the place for my feet.^(F)
14 The children of your oppressors^(G) will come bowing before you;
    all who despise you will bow down^(H) at your feet
and will call you the City^(I) of the Lord,
    Zion^(J) of the Holy One^(K) of Israel.

⁵ Let his faithful people rejoice^(A) in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.^(B)

⁶ May the praise of God be in their mouths^(C)
    and a double-edged^(D) sword in their hands,^(E)
7 to inflict vengeance^(F) on the nations
    and punishment^(G) on the peoples,
⁸ to bind their kings with fetters,^(H)
    their nobles with shackles of iron,^(I)
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—^(J)
    this is the glory of all his faithful people.^(K)

Praise the Lord.

¹⁰ You have made them to be a kingdom and priests^(A) to serve our God,
    and they will reign^[a] on the earth.”^(B)

If we died with him,
    we will also live with him;^(B)
12 if we endure,
    we will also reign with him.^(C)
If we disown him,
    he will also disown us;^(D)
