²³ The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound^(A) was found on him, because he had trusted^(B) in his God.

²⁰ They were helped^(A) in fighting them, and God delivered the Hagrites and all their allies into their hands, because they cried^(B) out to him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted^(C) in him.

²⁷ and the satraps, prefects, governors and royal advisers^(A) crowded around them.^(B) They saw that the fire^(C) had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them.

²⁸ Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who has sent his angel^(D) and rescued^(E) his servants! They trusted^(F) in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.^(G)

²⁵ He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

²³ “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”^(A)

¹⁸ Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating^(A) and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.^(B)
