³⁶ At the same time ^(A)my reason returned to me, and for ^(B)the glory of my kingdom, ^(C)my majesty and splendor returned to me. ^(D)My counselors and ^(E)my lords sought me, and I was established in my kingdom, and still more greatness was ^(F)added to me.

Nebuchadnezzar Restored

^34 (A)At the end of the days I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and ^(B)my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High, and praised and honored ^(C)him who lives forever,

³³ But ^(A)seek first ^(B)the kingdom of God and his righteousness, ^(C)and all these things will be added to you.

^32 (A)and you shall be driven from among men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. And you shall be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over you, ^(B)until you know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will.”

¹⁵ But leave the stump of its roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, amid the tender grass of the field. Let him be wet with the dew of heaven. Let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth. ¹⁶ Let his mind be changed from a man's, and let a beast's mind be given to him; ^(A)and let seven periods of time ^(B)pass over him.

¹² And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God ^(A)and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. ¹³ He prayed to him, and ^(B)God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. ^(C)Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

¹⁷ For ^(A)this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison,
