³⁵ All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
    and he does what he wills with the host of heaven
    and the inhabitants of the earth.
There is no one who can stay his hand
    or say to him, “What have you done?”^(A)

⁶ Whatever the Lord pleases he does,
    in heaven and on earth,
    in the seas and all deeps.^(A)

¹³ Indeed, since that day I am he;
    there is no one who can deliver from my hand;
    I work, and who can hinder it?^(A)

¹⁵ Even the nations are like a drop from a bucket
    and are accounted as dust on the scales;
    see, he takes up the isles like fine dust.^(A)
16 Lebanon would not provide fuel enough,
    nor are its animals enough for a burnt offering.]]^[a]
17 All the nations are as nothing before him;
    they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.^(B)
