³⁵ All the peoples of the earth
    are regarded as nothing.^(A)
He does as he pleases^(B)
    with the powers of heaven
    and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back^(C) his hand^(D)
    or say to him: “What have you done?”^(E)

⁶ The Lord does whatever pleases him,^(A)
    in the heavens and on the earth,^(B)
    in the seas and all their depths.

³ Our God is in heaven;^(A)
    he does whatever pleases him.^(B)

² “I know that you can do all things;^(A)
    no purpose of yours can be thwarted.^(B)

¹³     Yes, and from ancient days^(A) I am he.^(B)
No one can deliver out of my hand.
    When I act, who can reverse it?”^(C)

¹⁵ Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket;
    they are regarded as dust on the scales;^(A)
    he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.^(B)
16 Lebanon^(C) is not sufficient for altar fires,
    nor its animals^(D) enough for burnt offerings.
¹⁷ Before him all the nations^(E) are as nothing;^(F)
    they are regarded by him as worthless
    and less than nothing.^(G)
