34 כְּעַ֞ן אֲנָ֣ה נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֗ר מְשַׁבַּ֨ח וּמְרוֹמֵ֤ם וּמְהַדַּר֙ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ שְׁמַיָּ֔א דִּ֤י כָל־מַעֲבָד֙וֹהִי֙ קְשֹׁ֔ט וְאֹרְחָתֵ֖הּ דִּ֑ין וְדִי֙ מַהְלְכִ֣ין בְּגֵוָ֔ה יָכִ֖ל לְהַשְׁפָּלָֽה׃ פ

34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity(A) was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.(B)

His dominion is an eternal dominion;
    his kingdom(C) endures from generation to generation.(D)

Nebuchadnezzar Praises God

34 (A)“When the seven years had passed,” said the king, “I looked up at the sky, and my sanity returned. I praised the Supreme God and gave honor and glory to the one who lives forever.

“He will rule forever,
    and his kingdom will last for all time.

34 But at the end of the appointed time[a] I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up[b] toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me.

I extolled the Most High,

and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever.
For his authority is an everlasting authority,
and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.

Nebuchadnezzar Praises God

34 When that period was over, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my reason returned to me.

I blessed the Most High,
    and praised and honoured the one who lives for ever.
For his sovereignty is an everlasting sovereignty,
    and his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
