²⁶ And as it was commanded ^(A)to leave the stump of the roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be confirmed for you from the time that you know that Heaven rules.

¹⁵ But leave the stump of its roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, amid the tender grass of the field. Let him be wet with the dew of heaven. Let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth.

²¹ And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. ^(A)I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’^[a]

¹⁸ I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, ^(A)I have sinned against ^(B)heaven and before you.

²⁰ When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither at once?”

³⁴ But I say to you, ^(A)Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for ^(B)it is the throne of God,

²³ And because the king saw ^(A)a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven and saying, ^(B)‘Chop down the tree and destroy it, but leave the stump of its roots in the earth, bound with a band of iron and bronze, in the tender grass of the field, and let him be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till ^(C)seven periods of time pass over him,’

³⁷ You, O king, ^(A)the king of kings, to whom ^(B)the God of heaven ^(C)has given the kingdom, the power, and the might, and the glory,
