⁷ The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand^(A) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,^(B) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.^[a](C) When the power of the holy people^(D) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.^(E)”

²⁵ He will speak against the Most High^(A) and oppress his holy people^(B) and try to change the set times^(C) and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.^[a](D)

¹⁴ The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle,^(A) so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time,^(B) out of the serpent’s reach.

²⁴ He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people.^(A)

⁵ Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land^(A) raised his right hand to heaven.^{(B) 6} And he swore^(C) by him who lives for ever and ever,^(D) who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it,^(E) and said, “There will be no more delay!^{(F) 7} But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet,^(G) the mystery^(H) of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”^(I)

⁵ The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies^(A) and to exercise its authority for forty-two months.^(B)

⁶ The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.^(A)

² But exclude the outer court;^(A) do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles.^(B) They will trample on the holy city^(C) for 42 months.^{(D) 3} And I will appoint my two witnesses,^(E) and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,^(F) clothed in sackcloth.”^(G)

²⁴ They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled^(A) on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
