⁶ And one said to the man clothed in ^(A)linen, who was above the waters of the river, ^(B)“How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?”

¹³ Then I heard ^(A)a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression ^[a]of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?”

² And suddenly six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his ^[a]battle-ax in his hand. ^(A)One man among them was clothed with linen and had a writer’s inkhorn ^[b]at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.

The Lord Will Comfort Zion

¹² Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, “O Lord of hosts, ^(A)how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry ^(B)these seventy years?”

¹³ And the Lord answered the angel who talked to me, with ^(C)good and comforting words.

⁵ I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in ^(A)linen, whose waist was ^(B)girded with gold of Uphaz! ⁶ His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, ^(C)and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.

¹⁶ And I heard a man’s voice ^(A)between the banks of the Ulai, who called, and said, ^(B)“Gabriel, make this man understand the vision.”

^14 (A)And the armies in heaven, ^(B)clothed in ^[a]fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

⁶ And out of the ^[a]temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, ^(A)clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.

² He had a little book open in his hand. ^(A)And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, ³ and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, ^(B)seven thunders uttered their voices. ⁴ Now when the seven thunders ^[a]uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying ^[b]to me, ^(C)“Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

⁵ The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land ^(D)raised up his ^[c]hand to heaven
