⁶ One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was upstream, “How long shall it be until the end of these wonders?”^(A)

¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, “For how long is this vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled?”^[a](A)

² And six men came from the direction of the upper gate, which faces north, each with his weapon for slaughter in his hand; among them was a man clothed in linen with a writing case at his side. They went in and stood beside the bronze altar.^(A)

¹⁶ and I heard a human voice by the Ulai, calling, “Gabriel, help this man understand the vision.”^(A)

¹² Then the angel of the Lord said, “O Lord of hosts, how long will you withhold mercy from Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, with which you have been angry these seventy years?”^{(A) 13} Then the Lord replied with gracious and comforting words to the angel who spoke with me.^(B)

⁵ I looked up and saw a man clothed in linen, with a belt of gold from Uphaz around his waist.^{(A) 6} His body was like beryl, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the roar of a multitude.^(B)

¹⁴ And the armies of heaven, wearing fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.

⁶ and out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues, robed in pure bright linen,^[a] with golden sashes across their chests.

² He held a little scroll open in his hand. Setting his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, ³ he gave a great shout, like a lion roaring. And when he shouted, the seven thunders sounded.^{(A) 4} And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down.”^{(B) 5} Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and the land

¹⁰ they cried out with a loud voice, “Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long will it be before you judge and avenge our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?”^(A)
