³⁷ He shall regard neither the ^[a]God of his fathers nor the desire of women, ^(A)nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself above them all.

⁴ who opposes and ^(A)exalts himself ^(B)above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits ^[a]as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

³ forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

¹⁶ “Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall ^(A)neither mourn nor weep, nor shall your tears run down.

¹¹ and you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and desire her and would take her for your ^(A)wife,
