¹² Then he said to me, ^(A)“Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, ^(B)your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.

³⁰ So Cornelius said, ^[a]“Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, ^(A)a man stood before me ^(B)in bright clothing, ³¹ and said, ‘Cornelius, ^(C)your prayer has been heard, and ^(D)your ^[b]alms are remembered in the sight of God.

^19 (A)And he said, “O man greatly beloved, ^(B)fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!”

So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

The Seventy-Weeks Prophecy

²⁰ Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God, ²¹ yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man ^(A)Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, ^[a]being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. ²² And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. ²³ At the beginning of your supplications the ^[b]command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly ^(B)beloved; therefore ^(C)consider the matter, and understand the vision:

⁹ Now ^(A)the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; ^10 (B)for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

⁵ But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
