Colossians 4
American Standard Version
4 1 [a]Masters, render unto your [b]servants that which is just and [c]equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving; 3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds; 4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. 5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, [d]redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.
7 All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord: 8 whom I have sent unto you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts; 9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that are done here.
10 Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him), 11 and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a [e]servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis. 14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you. 15 Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and [f]Nymphas, and the church that is in [g]their house. 16 And when [h]this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea. 17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.
18 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.

4 Padroni, fate ciò che è giusto e ragionevole verso i servi, sapendo che anche voi avete un Padrone nei cieli.
2 Perseverate nella preghiera, vegliando in essa con ringraziamento.
3 Pregando nel medesimo tempo anche per noi, affinché Dio apra anche a noi la porta della parola, per annunziare il mistero di Cristo, a motivo del quale sono anche prigioniero,
4 in modo che lo faccia conoscere, parlandone come devo.
5 Procedete con sapienza verso quelli di fuori riscattando il tempo.
6 Il vostro parlare sia sempre con grazia, condito con sale, per sapere come vi conviene rispondere a ciascuno.
7 Tichico, il caro fratello e fedele ministro e mio compagno di servizio nel Signore, vi farà sapere tutto sul mio stato;
8 io ve lo mandato proprio per questa ragione, perché conosca la vostra situazione e consoli i vostri cuori,
9 assieme al fedele e caro fratello Onesimo, che è dei vostri; essi vi faranno sapere tutte le cose di qui.
10 Aristarco, prigioniero con me, vi saluta, assieme a Marco, il cugino di Barnaba (riguardo al quale avete ricevuto istruzioni; se viene da voi, accoglietelo)
11 e Gesú, chiamato Giusto, i quali provengono dalla circoncisione; questi sono i soli operai nell'opera del regno di Dio, che mi sono stati di conforto.
12 Epafra, che è dei vostri ed è servo di Cristo, vi saluta; egli combatte sempre per voi nelle preghiere, affinché stiate fermi, perfetti e compiuti in tutta la volontà di Dio.
13 Infatti gli rendo testimonianza che egli ha un grande zelo per voi, per quelli che sono a Laodicea e per quelli che sono a Gerapoli.
14 Il caro Luca, il medico, e Dema vi salutano.
15 Salutate i fratelli che sono a Laodicea, Ninfa e la chiesa che è in casa a sua.
16 E quando questa epistola sarà stata letta fra voi, fate che sia letta anche nella chiesa dei Laodicesi; e anche voi leggete quella che vi sarà mandata da Laodicea.
17 E dite ad Archippo: «Bada al ministero che hai ricevuto nel Signore, per adempierlo».
18 Il saluto è stato scritto di mia propria mano, di me, Paolo. Ricordatevi delle mie catene. La grazia sia con voi. Amen.
