4 Masters, be just and fair to your slaves, knowing that you yourselves have a master in heaven.
2 Keep on praying and guard your prayers with thanksgiving. 3 At the same time, pray for us also. Pray that God would open a door for the word so we can preach the secret plan[a] of Christ—which is why I’m in chains. 4 Pray that I might be able to make it as clear as I ought to when I preach. 5 Act wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. 6 Your speech should always be gracious and sprinkled with insight so that you may know how to respond to every person.
Final greeting
7 Tychicus, our dearly loved brother, faithful minister, and fellow slave in the Lord, will inform you about everything that has happened to me. 8 This is why I sent him to you, so that you’ll know all about us and so he can encourage your hearts. 9 I sent him with Onesimus, our faithful and dearly loved brother, who is one of you. They will let you know about everything here.
10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, says hello to you. So does Mark, Barnabas’ cousin (you received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him). 11 Jesus, called Justus, also says hello. These are my only fellow workers for God’s kingdom who are Jewish converts. They have been an encouragement to me. 12 Epaphras, who is one of you, says hello. He’s a slave of Christ Jesus who always wrestles for you in prayers so that you will stand firm and be fully mature and complete in the entire will of God. 13 I can vouch for him that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis. 14 Luke, the dearly loved physician, and Demas say hello.
15 Say hello to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea, along with Nympha and the church that meets in her house. 16 After this letter has been read to you publicly, make sure that the church in Laodicea reads it and that you read the one from Laodicea. 17 And tell Archippus, “See to it that you complete the ministry that you received in the Lord.”
18 I, Paul, am writing this greeting personally. Remember that I’m in prison. Grace be with you.

2 Manténganse constantes en la oración, siempre alerta y dando gracias a Dios. 3 Oren también por nosotros, a fin de que el Señor nos abra las puertas para predicar el mensaje y anunciar el designio secreto de Cristo, pues por eso estoy preso. 4 Oren para que yo lo dé a conocer tan claramente como debo hacerlo.
5 Compórtense sabiamente con los no creyentes, y aprovechen bien el tiempo. 6 Su conversación debe ser siempre agradable y de buen gusto, y deben saber también cómo contestar a cada uno.
7 Nuestro querido hermano Tíquico, que ha sido un fiel ayudante y que ha servido al Señor conmigo, les llevará noticias mías. 8 Por esto lo envío a ustedes, para que les diga cómo estamos y los anime. 9 Con él va también Onésimo, nuestro querido y fiel hermano, que es uno de ustedes. Ellos les contarán todo lo que pasa por aquí.
10 Aristarco, mi compañero de cárcel, les manda saludos; y también Marcos, el primo de Bernabé. Ustedes ya tienen instrucciones respecto a Marcos; si va a visitarlos, recíbanlo bien. 11 También los saluda Jesús, al que llaman el Justo. Éstos son los únicos entre los creyentes judíos que han trabajado conmigo por el reino de Dios, y han sido un gran consuelo para mí. 12 Les manda saludos Epafras, un siervo de Cristo Jesús; él es uno de ustedes, y siempre está rogando por ustedes en sus oraciones, para que se mantengan perfectamente firmes, entregados del todo a hacer la voluntad de Dios. 13 Yo soy testigo de lo mucho que Epafras se preocupa por ustedes y por los que están en Laodicea y en Hierápolis. 14 Lucas, el médico amado, los saluda, y también Demas.
15 Saluden a los hermanos que están en Laodicea. 2 Devote yourselves to prayer,(B) being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door(C) for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery(D) of Christ, for which I am in chains.(E) 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise(F) in the way you act toward outsiders;(G) make the most of every opportunity.(H) 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace,(I) seasoned with salt,(J) so that you may know how to answer everyone.(K)
Final Greetings
7 Tychicus(L) will tell you all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister and fellow servant[a](M) in the Lord. 8 I am sending him to you for the express purpose that you may know about our[b] circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts.(N) 9 He is coming with Onesimus,(O) our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you.(P) They will tell you everything that is happening here.
10 My fellow prisoner Aristarchus(Q) sends you his greetings, as does Mark,(R) the cousin of Barnabas.(S) (You have received instructions about him; if he comes to you, welcome him.) 11 Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews[c] among my co-workers(T) for the kingdom of God, and they have proved a comfort to me. 12 Epaphras,(U) who is one of you(V) and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. 16 After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read(AD) in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.
