²² Bondservants, obey ^(A)in everything those who are your earthly masters,^[a] not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. ^23 (B)Whatever you do, work heartily, ^(C)as for the Lord and not for men, ²⁴ knowing that from the Lord ^(D)you will receive the inheritance as your reward. ^(E)You are serving the Lord Christ.

Testing of Your Faith

^2 (A)Count it all joy, my brothers,^[a] when you meet trials ^(B)of various kinds, ³ for you know that ^(C)the testing of your faith ^(D)produces steadfastness. ⁴ And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be ^(E)perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

¹⁴ Do all things ^(A)without grumbling or ^(B)disputing, ¹⁵ that you may be blameless and innocent, ^(C)children of God ^(D)without blemish ^(E)in the midst of ^(F)a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine ^(G)as lights in the world,

^12 (A)Rejoice in hope, ^(B)be patient in tribulation, ^(C)be constant in prayer.
