Colossians 2:23-3:12

²³ These have indeed an appearance of wisdom in ^(A)promoting self-made religion and asceticism and severity to the body, but they are ^(B)of no value in stopping the indulgence of the flesh.

Put On the New Self

3 ^(C)If then you have been raised with Christ, seek ^(D)the things that are above, where Christ is, ^(E)seated at the right hand of God. ^2 (F)Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. ³ For ^(G)you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ ^(H)who is your^[a] life ^(I)appears, then you also will appear with him ^(J)in glory.

^5 (K)Put to death therefore ^(L)what is earthly in you:^{[b] (M)}sexual immorality, impurity, ^(N)passion, evil desire, and covetousness, ^(O)which is idolatry. ^6 (P)On account of these the wrath of God is coming.^{[c] 7 (Q)}In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. ⁸ But now ^(R)you must put them all away: ^(S)anger, wrath, malice, ^(T)slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. ^9 (U)Do not lie to one another, seeing that ^(V)you have put off ^(W)the old self^[d] with its practices ¹⁰ and ^(X)have put on ^(Y)the new self, ^(Z)which is being renewed in knowledge ^(AA)after the image of ^(AB)its creator. ^11 (AC)Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave,^[e] free; but Christ is ^(AD)all, and in all.

^12 (AE)Put on then, as ^(AF)God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, ^(AG)compassionate hearts, ^(AH)kindness, ^(AI)humility, meekness, and patience,
