^13 (A)And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God ^(B)made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, ¹⁴ by ^(C)canceling ^(D)the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. ^15 (E)He disarmed the rulers and authorities^[a] and ^(F)put them to open shame, by ^(G)triumphing over them in him.^[b]

¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise ^(A)partook of the same things, that ^(B)through death he might ^(C)destroy ^(D)the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and deliver all those who ^(E)through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery.
