Not Legalism but Christ

11 In Him you were also (A)circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by (B)putting off the body [a]of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 (C)buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through (D)faith in the working of God, (E)who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 (F)having wiped out the [b]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 (G)Having disarmed (H)principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

16 So let no one (I)judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a [c]festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17 (J)which are a shadow of things to come, but the [d]substance is of Christ. 18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has [e]not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 and not holding fast to (K)the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, (L)grows with the increase that is from God.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one, (A)and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

For (B)we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are (C)God’s building. 10 (D)According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid (E)the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. 11 For no other foundation can anyone lay than (F)that which is laid, (G)which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day (H)will declare it, because (I)it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, (A)“and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

By faith (B)Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, (C)prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of (D)the righteousness which is according to faith.
