^21 (A)And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, ^(B)doing evil deeds, ²² he has now reconciled ^(C)in his body of flesh by his death, ^(D)in order to present you holy and blameless and ^(E)above reproach before him,

³ among whom we all once lived in ^(A)the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body^[a] and the mind, and ^(B)were by nature ^(C)children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.^{[b] 4} But^[c] God, being ^(D)rich in mercy, ^(E)because of the great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even ^(F)when we were dead in our trespasses, ^(G)made us alive together with Christ—^(H)by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and ^(I)seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable ^(J)riches of his grace in ^(K)kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For ^(L)by grace you have been saved ^(M)through faith. And this is ^(N)not your own doing; ^(O)it is the gift of God, ^9 (P)not a result of works, ^(Q)so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For ^(R)we are his workmanship, ^(S)created in Christ Jesus ^(T)for good works, ^(U)which God prepared beforehand, ^(V)that we should walk in them.

One in Christ

¹¹ Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called ^(W)the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands—

⁶ For ^(A)while we were still weak, at the right time ^(B)Christ died for the ungodly. ⁷ For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— ⁸ but ^(C)God shows his love for us in that ^(D)while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ⁹ Since, therefore, ^(E)we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from ^(F)the wrath of God. ¹⁰ For if ^(G)while we were enemies ^(H)we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by ^(I)his life. ¹¹ More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received ^(J)reconciliation.

^21 (A)For our sake he made him to be sin ^(B)who knew no sin, so that in him we might become ^(C)the righteousness of God.

^24 (A)He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we ^(B)might die to sin and ^(C)live to righteousness. ^(D)By his wounds you have been healed. ²⁵ For ^(E)you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to ^(F)the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
