But now set aside these things, such as anger, rage, malice, slander, and obscene language. Don’t lie to each other. Take off the old human nature with its practices 10 and put on the new nature, which is renewed in knowledge by conforming to the image of the one who created it. 11 In this image there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all things and in all people.

12 Therefore, as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other. 14 And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15 The peace of Christ must control your hearts—a peace into which you were called in one body. And be thankful people.

But now you must also rid yourselves(A) of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,(B) and filthy language from your lips.(C) Do not lie to each other,(D) since you have taken off your old self(E) with its practices 10 and have put on the new self,(F) which is being renewed(G) in knowledge in the image of its Creator.(H) 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew,(I) circumcised or uncircumcised,(J) barbarian, Scythian, slave or free,(K) but Christ is all,(L) and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves(M) with compassion, kindness, humility,(N) gentleness and patience.(O) 13 Bear with each other(P) and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.(Q) 14 And over all these virtues put on love,(R) which binds them all together in perfect unity.(S)

15 Let the peace of Christ(T) rule in your hearts, since as members of one body(U) you were called to peace.(V) And be thankful.
