5 For (A)though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your (B)good order and (C)the firmness of your faith in Christ.
Alive in Christ
6 (D)Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 (E)rooted and (F)built up in him and (G)established in the faith, just (H)as you were taught, abounding (I)in thanksgiving.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive by (J)philosophy and (K)empty deceit, according to (L)human tradition, according to the (M)elemental spirits[a] of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For (N)in him the whole fullness of deity dwells (O)bodily, 10 and (P)you have been filled in him, who is (Q)the head of all rule and authority.

5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit(A) and delight to see how disciplined(B) you are and how firm(C) your faith in Christ(D) is.
Spiritual Fullness in Christ
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,(E) continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted(F) and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught,(G) and overflowing with thankfulness.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy,(H) which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces[a] of this world(I) rather than on Christ.
9 For in Christ all the fullness(J) of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head(K) over every power and authority.(L)
