10 and (A)you have been filled in him, who is (B)the head of all rule and authority. 11 In him also (C)you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by (D)putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 (E)having been buried with him in baptism, in which (F)you were also raised with him through faith in (G)the powerful working of God, (H)who raised him from the dead. 13 (I)And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God (J)made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by (K)canceling (L)the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15 (M)He disarmed the rulers and authorities[a] and (N)put them to open shame, by (O)triumphing over them in him.[b]

Let No One Disqualify You

16 Therefore let no one (P)pass judgment on you (Q)in questions of food and drink, or with regard to (R)a festival or (S)a new moon or a Sabbath. 17 (T)These are a shadow of the things to come, but (U)the substance belongs to Christ. 18 Let no one (V)disqualify you, (W)insisting on asceticism and worship of angels, (X)going on in detail about visions,[c] (Y)puffed up without reason by (Z)his sensuous mind, 19 and (AA)not (AB)holding fast to the Head, from whom the whole body, nourished and knit together through its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God.

20 If with Christ (AC)you died to the (AD)elemental spirits of the world, (AE)why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations—

10 and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head(A) over every power and authority.(B) 11 In him you were also circumcised(C) with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh[a](D) was put off when you were circumcised by[b] Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism,(E) in which you were also raised with him(F) through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.(G)

13 When you were dead in your sins(H) and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you[c] alive(I) with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,(J) 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness,(K) which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.(L) 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities,(M) he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them(N) by the cross.[d]

Freedom From Human Rules

16 Therefore do not let anyone judge you(O) by what you eat or drink,(P) or with regard to a religious festival,(Q) a New Moon celebration(R) or a Sabbath day.(S) 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come;(T) the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18 Do not let anyone who delights in false humility(U) and the worship of angels disqualify you.(V) Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19 They have lost connection with the head,(W) from whom the whole body,(X) supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.(Y)

20 Since you died with Christ(Z) to the elemental spiritual forces of this world,(AA) why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules:(AB)

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.

20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
