The Incomparable Christ

13 [a]For He rescued us from the [b](A)domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of [c](B)His beloved Son, 14 (C)in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

15 [d]He is the (D)image of the (E)invisible God, the (F)firstborn of all creation: 16 for [e](G)by Him all things were created, (H)both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether (I)thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—(J)all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He [f](K)is before all things, and in Him all things [g]hold together. 18 He is also the (L)head of (M)the body, the church; and He is (N)the beginning, (O)the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. 19 For [h]it was (P)the Father’s good pleasure for all (Q)the [i]fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to (R)reconcile all things to Himself, (S)whether things on earth or things in [j]heaven, having made (T)peace through (U)the blood of His cross.

21 And although you were (V)previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds, 22 yet He has now (W)reconciled you in His (X)body of flesh through death, in order to (Y)present you before Him (Z)holy and blameless and beyond reproach— 23 if indeed you continue in [k]the faith firmly (AA)established and steadfast, and not shifting from the (AB)hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed (AC)in all creation under heaven, (AD)and of which I, Paul, [l]was made a [m](AE)minister.

13 He has delivered us from (A)the power of darkness (B)and [a]conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 (C)in whom we have redemption [b]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is (D)the image of the invisible God, (E)the firstborn over all creation. 16 For (F)by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or (G)dominions or [c]principalities or [d]powers. All things were created (H)through Him and for Him. 17 (I)And He is before all things, and in Him (J)all things consist. 18 And (K)He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, (L)the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that (M)in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and (N)by Him to reconcile (O)all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, (P)having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 And you, (Q)who once were alienated and enemies in your mind (R)by wicked works, yet now He has (S)reconciled 22 (T)in the body of His flesh through death, (U)to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— 23 if indeed you continue (V)in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are (W)not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, (X)which was preached to every creature under heaven, (Y)of which I, Paul, became a minister.

The Preeminence of Christ

15 (F)He is the image of (G)the invisible God, (H)the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by[a] him all things were created, (I)in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether (J)thrones or (K)dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created (L)through him and for him. 17 And (M)he is before all things, and in him all things (N)hold together. 18 And (O)he is the head of the body, the church. The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image(F) of the invisible God,(G) the firstborn(H) over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created:(I) things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities;(J) all things have been created through him and for him.(K) 17 He is before all things,(L) and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head(M) of the body, the church;(N) he is the beginning and the firstborn(O) from among the dead,(P) so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased(Q) to have all his fullness(R) dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile(S) to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven,(T) by making peace(U) through his blood,(V) shed on the cross.
