¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another ^(A)in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

²¹ if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:

¹³ In Him you also trusted, after you heard ^(A)the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, ^(B)you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

⁸ But what does it say? ^(A)“The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):

¹⁷ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

^12 (A)It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ ¹³ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ ¹⁴ But the word is very near you, ^(B)in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

1 That ^(B)which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have ^(C)seen with our eyes, ^(D)which we have looked upon, and ^(E)our hands have handled, concerning the ^(F)Word of life—

^23 (A)having been born again, not of ^[a]corruptible seed but ^[b]incorruptible, ^(B)through the word of God which lives and abides ^[c]forever,

^(B)Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
